"Navigating Rising Coffee Prices: Our Commitment to Quality, Fairness, and the Planet"
Elise PorterFor some time, we’ve tried to ignore the warning signs—but there’s no denying it any longer: coffee prices are rising, and fast. In February 2025, coffee prices hit an all-time high—more than double what they were just a year earlier.
This isn’t just a recent development. Over the past two years, the coffee market has experienced an extraordinary surge in prices, driven by multiple converging factors.
What’s behind the rise?
Climate change has severely impacted coffee harvests, especially in major producing countries like Brazil and Vietnam. Political instability and resulting supply chain disruptions have added further pressure, particularly along key global shipping routes. Meanwhile, increasing global demand has led to a significant drawdown in both arabica and robusta coffee stockpiles. The result? Record-breaking prices across the board.
This isn’t a minor fluctuation—it marks a significant turning point for the coffee industry. From farmers to roasters to everyday coffee drinkers, the effects are being felt everywhere.
Our mission has always been about more than just coffee. It’s about honoring the people who grow it, protecting the planet we share, and delivering something truly meaningful in every cup.
That’s why we source only the finest organic coffee, work hand-in-hand with farmers to ensure they’re paid fairly, and go the extra mile—sometimes literally—by using carbon-neutral sailboats to transport our beans. This isn’t the easiest path, but it’s the one we believe in.
In staying true to these values, we’re now faced with a difficult but necessary decision: to raise our coffee prices. This change allows us to continue supporting our farmers, safeguarding the environment, and delivering the quality you expect—without compromise.
We’re deeply grateful for your continued support and belief in what we do.
