The Coffee Forums and Bella Barista

The Coffee Forums and Bella Barista Over the years Coffee Forums and Bella Barista have enjoyed a very successful relationship, with many happy Bella Barista customers being long standing Forum members. This has created a valuable online resource with much knowledge and experience being shared by members using coffee equipment at home often purchased from Bella Barista. Throughout this time we have enjoyed collaborating mainly with Coffee Forums founder Glen Watson in arranging competition prizes, forum open days and members only offers. It’s our intention to continue this relationship by posting exclusive offers for Coffee Forum Members on this page.

All prices include VAT, plus any standard service parts required. Grinders are domestic from £100, commercial up to £200, and do not include burrs.

What a full service includes

Every machine follows the same printed checklist, whichever engineer has it on the bench. The sheet travels with your machine and is signed off by the engineer who did the work.

Water system

  • Descale, run through until the water runs clear
  • Inline filter checked and replaced
  • Waterspout filter checked
  • Level probe cleaned or replaced

Group head

  • Full group head rebuild
  • Shower screen replaced
  • Group gasket replaced

Valves and seals

  • Anti-vacuum valve replaced
  • Expansion valve seal
  • Steam wand O-ring and PTFE seals
  • Hot water valve pad seal and shaft O-rings

Testing and sign-off

  • All other function checks
  • Video check completed and logged
  • Engineer sign off, dated and named

Nothing extra happens without your say so. If we find work beyond the standard service we tell you what it is and what it costs, and wait for your authorisation. Both the conversation and your answer go on the job sheet.

Every machine gets a PDI before it comes back

PDI is a Pre-Delivery Inspection: the final check after the work is done and before the machine leaves us.

  • Bench test. Run and tested to confirm the fault is gone and nothing else has been disturbed.
  • Valet. Cleaned inside and out. Most machines go back looking better than they arrived.
  • Photographed. So you can see its condition before you collect it or before it is boxed.
  • Double boxed. If it is shipping, whether or not it arrived that way.

Filmed at every stage

We film your machine as it arrives and send you the video as confirmation we have it. The work, the bench test, the clean and the packing are all filmed. If a courier damages something in transit, we can show what left here and in what condition.
