Navigator is a more traditional roast, offering a dark and smooth profile with plenty of body. Its perfect for a classic espresso with low acidity and holds up great with milk too.
The current blend consists coffee from:
Cooperativa Agraria Sangareni - Junin, Peru.
In Satipo, Junin, the jungle and the mountains meet, resulting in lush microclimates. Made up of 318 producer members, the coffee is machine pulped and fermented for 12-20 hours before being washed.
Finca Liquidambar - San Marcos, Honduras.
The farm makes its own compost, acting as a pest control and giving the plants resistance to disease. One of the owners, Delmy Regalado, was the president of the Honduras chapter for the International Women's Coffee Alliance for 5 years, which is dedicated to supporting the role of women in coffee production.
Katanda Station - South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo.
A community lot from the Katanda Station run by Virunga Coffee Company, set up by Covoya in 2012. With rich volcanic soil, high altitude and favourable rain patterns, Eastern DRC has optimum conditions for growing high quality arabica. The ripe cherries are dried in the sun on raised African beds for 12-15 days before being dry milled and sorted.
This coffee was developed to support the Jack Fleckney Foundation, named after our longstanding coffee ambassador and serial adventurer. The foundation works to support disadvantaged children through sponsorship.
